@sgreenstonenj, thanks for reaching out!
This topic has come up a few times recently here in the community.
Have you tried connecting to the regular Vanguard bank options in Quicken Simplifi? Or, if this is an Ascensus account specifically, using the "Plan Administrators, Inc" option?
Let us know!
Yes those URLs are all different and don't recognize my logon credentials. It only works at the URL I provided.
@sgreenstonenj, thanks for the reply!
It's important to know that the URL displayed in Quicken Simplifi is not always the URL used to connect from the back end. I checked your connection attempts from our end and don't see anything for Vanguard or Plan Administrators, Inc. When did you try these bank options in Quicken Simplifi?
I tried every one of the Vanguard links in Simplifi.
@sgreenstonenj, I'm still not seeing any connection attempts for you for Vanguard or Plan Administrators, Inc. Is your Quicken ID the same email address you used for the community? I want to ensure I am looking at the correct account information.
Otherwise, you may need to contact our Support team directly for more advanced assistance, so they can join you on a screen share and determine why your connection attempts aren't even reaching our internal systems. This aspect of the situation has me concerned that something else is going on, rather than the connection not being supported. https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/5077917-how-to-contact-support
Let us know how things go with Support in case it helps other users!
Yes same email. I just attempted again. Each one brings me to the wrong URL for my Vanguard type of account. The ONLY vanguard URL that my logon works at is my.vanguardplan.com
@sgreenstonenj, based on your latest reply, it sounds like you are not actually attempting to connect to any of the bank options mentioned, which is likely why the attempts aren't reaching our systems.
As stated previously in this thread, the URL shown in Quicken Simplifi is not always the URL used to connect from the backend. So the displayed URL should not stop you from trying to connect. To further clarify, when we offer suggestions of bank options to try, you would need to go through the full Add Account flow and enter your credentials to see if it works for your account.
The steps in our article here go over adding a connected account in Quicken Simplifi, and you will need to go through at least step 4 to determine whether the bank option works: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/4295304-adding-accounts-in-quicken-simplifi#h_518c0a0896
I hope this helps to clarify!
Clearly you are not reading my response. What part of "I just tried again" tells you I am not trying?
@sgreenstonenj, I apologize for the confusion, and I can assure you that all responses have been thoroughly reviewed.
If you are indeed going all the way through the Add Account flow, entering your login credentials, and clicking "Connect", then I'm afraid I'm back to thinking something else could be going on, since these attempts aren't hitting our systems. I just checked again and still don't see anything for Vanguard or Plan Administrators, Inc.
At this time, I'd recommend contacting our Support team directly for more advanced assistance with getting connected. Here is the link again, for easy reference: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/5077917-how-to-contact-support
We look forward to hearing back on how things go with Support!
I am going through all the way and it comes back with unknown password or username because my password and username are only valid on my.vanguardplan.com not any of the other Vanguard websites.
I think its just time I find an alternative to Quicken. Its nothing but issues for me.
@sgreenstonenj, I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing several issues with Quicken Simplifi!
Regarding this topic, we also have the option to turn it into a Missing Financial Institution Request. That's what the threads I shared above originally were, but we moved them out to do some troubleshooting, during which one of those users was able to connect. We just don't want to have a Missing Financial Institution Request when a connection may already be possible, since some requests sit for quite some time without action. We don't want to miss out on the opportunity to help users get connected now, or do some troubleshooting when needed.
As for troubleshooting this, it's very strange that the attempts aren't reaching our systems, which is why I think Support would be better positioned to assist you and determine what's going on.
Sorry I don't have a better solution for you!
