The plus/minus dollar amount shown for holdings is for a single share, not all shares owned (edited)

I noticed that either today or yesterday; the "Holdings" under "Investments" shows the plus/minus dollar amount of a given stock per share.

Previously, it used to show the plus/minus dollar amount of the stock multiplied by number of shares I own! Please revert this behavior. I don't care that a stock gained 5 dollars or a X percent, there's a million apps for that.

I want to know the bottom line dollar amount delta for the day as it used to show.

There you go. Notice the screenshot from April 9 2025 shows an increase of +$465. Stock went up by about 18 per share that day. On today's screenshot it shows +$12 which is just the price per share not the increased value of what I hold, I would expect this to be 12.53 * 25 = +$313.25

As a next step, please try making the affected accounts from this financial institution manual, then wait about 24 hours before attempting to reconnect them.

The reason for waiting 24 hours is to allow Quicken Simplifi’s servers time to fully update the connection information. After that period, attempting the connection again should allow Simplifi to establish a fresh connection with the financial institution.

Once the 24 hours have passed, please try reconnecting the accounts and let us know if the issue persists.

What sort of hack is that. Why not have the development team check if the behavior change is intentional or not, then say it's a bug. If it's a bug then say so and we'll go from there.

I just checked my investments in the Quicken Simplifi mobile app and compared them with the Portfolio data in the web app, and I’m not seeing any issues myself. We typically can’t determine whether something is a bug from the community; we’d need to follow any standard troubleshooting based on the information provided and help determine the best path forward. In this case, I don’t see anything in our Help Center indicating that day change values should behave differently from what you’re reporting.

If you’re here to provide feedback about a recent change to Quicken Simplifi—as I understand it, you’re saying that the Portfolio view previously showed the day change value for each holding based on the number of shares owned, and now it only shows the value for a single share—I’d recommend creating an Idea post requesting this change. That way, other users can vote for it, and our product team can review the feedback.

Regarding the troubleshooting steps offered previously, while those are standard for connected accounts, I don’t think they apply here since I’m seeing the same behavior you are when checking my own Quicken Simplifi. You’re welcome to still try them to cover all bases, but that’s entirely up to you.

@Coach Natalie , when you say "I’m not seeing any issues myself." what is the behavior you are seeing? Single share delta or delta for all shares owned? This is also on a web browser, not just the mobile app by the way — both of them changed behavior for me to show only single share delta.

I showed a screenshot from 2025 with old behavior vs new, and I have been using simplifi since 2024. So somehow I was somehow on buggy behavior for 2.5 years? Incidentally there is a new web/mobile release posted right around when the issue started, coincidence? (https://community.simplifimoney.com/discussion/17144/mobile-release-6-36-0#latest). Would be nice for the product team to chime in and say what is the expected behavior before I create an idea. But I don't know, for a personalized finance app, I want the personalized number, not just another watch list.

We wouldn't know whether this was buggy behavior in the past unless we investigated it then. As for what I'm seeing now, I see the same behavior you are—the day change values reflect the stock itself, not the number of shares you own. Right now, nothing in our Help Center documents the current behavior as incorrect. Additionally, I see the total change values reflected in the market value data at the top.

I can understand why this information would be valuable per-holding, and the best way to request that change is via our Ideas process. An Idea lets our product team review the suggested change, understand the use case, and see how many users want the behavior changed. That's the appropriate path for requesting a product or design change, particularly when the current behavior isn't documented or identified as a product issue.

Our product team typically doesn't participate directly in the community, so the care team coaches assist users here, along with other community members. I hope this clarifies why I'm recommending the Ideas process as the best path forward.

I am not seeing this issue either, but I wonder if it could be because you own actual stock and I have mutual funds? Just an idea. It would still be a bug or at least a glitch.

@Coach Natalie , just FYI — the behavior has reverted to dollar delta for all shares owned. Not sure what's going on, but for now it's working as intended again. This on both the web and mobile. This reverted
