@UrsulaA, thanks for posting to the Community regarding this behavior!
I went ahead and merged your post into the existing thread for this topic. This issue has already been escalated and is still being worked on, so I gave the ticket a bump to see if I can get an update for everyone.
I'll post back as soon as I have any news!

I will vote for this idea post too, when available.

A potential, if unlovely, workaround for this is to create a dummy account with a $0 balance. This account will show up in a color that can be seen, and will always be $0.

Correct, thanks for reposting @ajbopp. I am using the workaround in dark mode when I need to see the zero line. I have two accounts with a zero balance that are my manual Mint import accounts. I am also flipping to light mode to view the zero line. I saw your old post on this.

@yfor11, regarding your comment here, if you'd like your suggestion to gain traction, you won't want to post about it here in this bug report that's for a different topic. Instead, the best way to get your suggestion out there is to create an Idea post so other users can vote on it and our product team can review it.
I hope this helps!

Hey everyone, a fix for this is expected with the 3.97.0 Web Release.
Thanks!
