Hello @leos,
Thank you for posting your request to the Community!
Would you mind clarifying whether you're referring to MFA with your banks or MFA when signing into the Simplifi App, please?

I definitely want this functionality as well. It's 2023, it is absurd to be using SMS and email codes for logging into an application. There are several third-party apps available for this purpose, or you can build 2FA into the Simplifi app which is already on my phone. Manually entering a code from a text message is pretty hack.

Agree.

Yes please! This is a must. Surprised that a company as big as Quicken hasn't done this. SMS or email codes are not secure and NIST removed them from their guidelines years ago.

I threw my vote in, but I'm not even sure if i would bother using this feature. When I'm working on the macbook, I don't want to have to always have my cell phone on me to authenticate the account — especially early mornings when I wake up before others and want to check simplifi without having to make noise getting the phone and wake others. I'm sort of of the mind that nothing on the internet is private, and if i was more concerned i would use quicken off-line rather than simplifi.

Both 2FA through authenticator and passkeys

How has this feature not been added yet? Any account that has access to sensitive financial data such as Simplifi should provide the option of using TOTP codes instead of SMS-based codes. When these codes are connected to an authenticator app or password manager (usually via a QR code seed), they provide a more convenient AND more secure method of 2FA. I am concerned about the fact that Simplifi accounts are currently all vulnerable to SIM swap scams. Is there any ETA on when Simplifi plans to fix this issue?

I use 1password which is a HUGE convenience as I only need one password for all of my financials. the app keeps a really strong password and my 2fa challenge for most financial sites. I know there is some security built into the Simplifi by Quicken app, but I would feel more comfortable if Simplifi used passkeys with an app generated multi factor authentication.
Quicken for Windows user since 1994 (After MYM for DOS)

i was initially suprises that simplifi doesnt have a 2FA option using authenticator code. It should be at least option given to the users, who prioritize security over ease of use. And during this age of digital period, security must be given the atmost importance.
