Unable to edit price per share for manual investment account

I have a manual investment account. When i click to "add a holding" i am presented with a form to input the stock symbol, and number of shares. However, the price per share input is not editable and only displays the current stock price. This field needs to be editable because I did not necessarily get the shares at current stock price.

That is correct — when manually adding a holding in Simplifi and selecting a valid ticker symbol, the price will automatically be locked in at the latest quoted price.

It sounds like what you're looking for is the ability to enter the cost basis for a holding. If so, I'd suggest adding your vote and feedback to our existing Idea post requesting this! 😀

exactly. Will cast my vote… manual investments are useless without this. Not all stock shares are bought at the same price.
