Pending transactions aren't being counted toward balance (edited)

I'm 36 days in and so far I haven't had a day where I can trust my bank balances. Today I have 6 of 9 accounts with an incorrect balance. Some do not include pending transactions and others have the math wrong. I've tried using bank balance and bank balance with pending leaving a day or more between changes.

I thought I read somewhere that the system pulls updates every 4-6 hours. Mine seems to update every 12 hours.

Are others seeing similar problems?

    Thanks for posting to the Community regarding this issue, although I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing balance discrepancies in Simplifi.

    Simplifi is designed to always match the balance provided by the bank for connected accounts. The only exception is with transactions that are in a 'pending' state in Simplifi — since most banks provide a balance that does not include pending transactions, Simplifi is designed to deduct them (unless disabled).

    And yes, Simplifi is designed to refresh with your banks every 4-6 hours. However, there are some instances where some banks may be delayed in updating over weekends and holidays, etc. There are also some banks that may be delayed in updating during peak hours. With that said, would you mind providing a bit more info regarding this issue, such as:

    1. Is the issue occurring with one bank or multiple banks?
    2. What are the banks in question?
    3. Have you noticed the issue over the weekend or holidays, etc. specifically, or anything along those lines?

    I've gone through that article. I've tried both settings.

    1. right now the issue is with PNC. Fidelity had an issue but all transactions have cleared so nothing to show.
    2. PNC
    3. It has not been wknd or holiday specific.

    Currently, 3 accounts are wrong. Two are similar to the screenshots and the third does not have any pending transactions, it's just wrong.

    Hello @pawebb,

    It looks to me as though Simplifi isn't deducting the pending transaction. The running balance on your bank's website is $6,888.47, which matches the balance in Simplifi. The available balance on the bank's website ($2,925.79) would be the balance in Simplifi with that pending transaction being deducted. What is your current 'Balance with pending' setting for this account under Settings > Accounts?

    And what about the setting for all accounts at the top of your Accounts List?

    Both are currently set to Balance w/ Pending. I have tried BB/BB, BB/BWP, BWP/BB, and BWP/BWP. Each time I made sure to leave 24 hrs between changes.

    Another account at the same bank. All transactions were cleared this morning and then this pending transaction came in. The balance has not been adjusted.

    If I click on SEE DETAILS it shows.

    I can go ahead and get this reported, however, we do need the following information first:

    1. The names of the accounts that currently have a pending transaction that's not being counted toward the balance, as they appear in Simplifi.
    2. The names of the same accounts, as they appear on the bank's website.
    3. The current balance for the accounts, as displayed in Simplifi.
    4. The current balance for the accounts, as displayed on the bank's website.
    5. The Date, Payee, and Amount of any transactions that are "pending" in these accounts in Simplifi.
    6. A screenshot of the 'Balance with Pending' setting for each of the accounts under Settings > Accounts.
    7. A screenshot of the 'Balance with Pending' setting for all accounts at the top of your Accounts List.

    It looks like we still need #4 — The current balance for the account, as displayed in Simplifi. I'm not seeing this outlined above in a screenshot or anything; to confirm, does the bank balance of $559.30 match Simplifi? If so, would that mean that the Simplifi balance should be $0 if it were counting the pending transaction of $559.30? Also, what is the current 'Available' balance on the bank's website as opposed to the running balance?

    The current balance displayed in Simplifi is #3. That is the $559.30.

    Yes, Simplifi should show zero if it includes the pending Xfer out of $559.30.

    The screenshot above (previous comment) on #4 shows the bank balance of $559.30 and the available of $0.

    The Available balance is $0. The screenshot above is not the running balance from the transaction list.

    It looks like the account in question has been deleted from Simplifi, so our team is no longer able to work on the issue. They have closed the ticket accordingly. If you end up adding this account back to Simplifi and the same issue occurs, we can reopen the ticket with a fresh example.

    Thanks, @Coach Natalie. We had been wanting to make a change and with the balance not working it gave us a good reason to move forward.
