Will pending transactions disappear if not posted?

I have some pending transactions (e.g., on AMEX credit card). They are dated about four days ago. On the AMEX site, they are no longer listed, but in Simplifi they are still shown as pending transactions.

Will Simplifi eventually remove them?

In my experience, no. I have to manually clear or delete them.

I just cleared a transaction from August 29th today (though that was on a manual account), more than a month old.
