How does one get the 30 days free trial?
I am evaluating a few budgeting apps as an alternative to Mint and try to try Simplifi. I keep seeing a "30 day free trial" option in Google search and the Simplifi front page. However, when I "Get Started" and create an account, it immediately prompts me for payment and the subscription starts immediately instead of 30 days out. I do not want to pay before I even get to see what the app looks like.
Does this free 30 days trial really exist? If so, how do I get it?

@Ess, thanks for reaching out!
At this time, Quicken Simplifi does not offer a 30-day trial. You can, however, request a full refund within 30 days of purchase if you're not satisfied with the product.
I hope this helps!

Thank you Natalie for the clarification. Then that phrasing should be removed from your product pages. It’s shown everywhere and incredibly misleading.

@Ess, thanks! I'm not sure if it's supposed to read like that, but I did pass the feedback along. 🙂

You should probably provide a 30-day free trial again as people are scrambling to find an alternative to Mint by the end of the year.

There actually is a 90 day free trial. But you do not get the 40% off if you do this.

@scootermcgee What I do with free trials of any kind is use my Google calendar to set a reminder a few days before the trial is up and set an e-mail notification for that day. This way, I can decide towards the end of the free trial if I want to keep it or cancel.

@scootermcgee My understanding is they at least temporarily may have brought back the free trial (perhaps due to Mint closing). The original wording was worded that you could get your money back for 30 days, but i think they brought back the try-before-you-buy thing. I am not a Simplifi employee/representative so I may be wrong.

@scootermcgee I looked at mint's homepage, you can apparently still sign up for a new account there, which would make you a 'mint user' probably for the purposes of proving you had an account there. I cannot answer as to whether you need to prove it, though.

I had tried many years ago and cancelling for a full refund was a breeze. Just send a message, get a cancellation confirmation within 24 hours, and the money refunded in a couple of days. Good luck with your app hunting!

Like many of the other comments here, I'm looking for a replacement for Mint. I think I'm down to it being between Simplifi and Monarch. I was looking at a comparison sheet, and saw that Simplifi had a 90 day free trial and Monarch only had a 30 day trial, so I decided to try Simplifi first.
Now as I go to sign up I see that I have to choose between the free trial and 40% off… so now I'm reconsidering that plan.
