Request to allow creation of new categories/tags from within transactions and not from settings
just an extra step to first set up the category/tag in settings
then go to transaction and edit to assign new category/tag
would be ideal to be able to edit categories/tags from within transactions

You should be able to create Categories and Tags without navigating away from your transactions:
You can do so on both the web and mobile apps (if you're using the mobile app, there are links at the bottom of the articles I provided above that will get you over to the mobile versions). Does this give you what you're looking for? 😀

YES - especially for a new user trying to get all the transactions setup with a Category - and a NEW one at that -
Now… have to stop - go to Settings - Category - create the new one - then come back to Transactions - ARGHHHHAHHH - you have to click in the Category and begin typing the name of the "new" Category to trigger that "create" dialog -
- Select the Category field and then type the name of the category or subcategory you'd like to create. ««—— !!
- Hover over Create and then select Main Category or Subcategory of, whichever applies.
