Ability to Import/Export Investment Transactions (edited)

My experience is like @RockLee . My broker displays 4 rolling years of transactions on its website. Any transactions older than 4 years are no longer visible on the broker's website.

As a workaround for Simplifi not having an export feature for investment transactions, I am downloading transactions from my broker each year for my records. Of course, I use broker records for taxes.

I can import investment transactions in Simplifi in a workaround way by going through the all transaction list. However, the import has to be modifed for some transactions as the import will use payment/deposit as the action for all transactions. I imported my investment transactions to Simplifi since 2018 (complete history from my broker).

We need a complete import/export capability for investment transactions like the existing capability for non-investment transactions.

Hey all, I don't have a pony in this race, so I'll bow out. I do support adding features that make QS a more complete package for all user.

@DannyB If you look at the votes, by far most users are focused on non investment functionality. I can't blame Simplifi for putting dev resources in those areas. However, I think compared to other offerings (given the price), Simplifi's investment functionality is a growing glaring weakness.

+1. This seems like an obvious, and important feature, particularly given the limitations on reports / managing hidden transactions, etc. We need to have more ability to analyze data, and if we can't do it in Simplifi we should be able to export to csv to do it elsewhere.

I agree, for now I am not using Simplifi investment transactions as data sources. Instead, I use the broker's site. I will use investment transactions more if I was able to export them.
