Given that TurboTax is not a Quicken Product, it's unclear how the integration could happen. I'm not sure if TurboTax has an API. Yes, at least some other products can/were able to do it, but they were (to my knowledge) from the maker of TurboTax. I'm willing to accept that there may be a way to do it.

In my case, I'm not against the idea, but i'm not voting for it because, frankly, I always take the standard deduction.

  • This would be convenient since my financial institutions are already connected with Simplifi which would make pulling down tax forms from those institutions seamless.

Well, they have added a tax report to the latest updates. It is pretty nifty. They had added Tax categories a little bit ago and I got those set up. I am playing around with it. I haven't seen any report of it on here as a new feature, so it is probably in preview. Or I missed the announcement. That happens to me sometimes though I don't know why.

This tax report catches QS up with QC. By the way I think Turbotax and some others used to import from Quicken Classic. It maybe still does.

Thank you for your reply @SRC54,

According to the Help articles, Quicken Classic does still support exporting information to TurboTax. To see how to do this in Quicken for Windows, click here. To see how to do it in Quicken for Mac, click here.

    I hope this helps!

Thanks @Coach Kristina . I stopped using TurboTax many a moon ago. I now use Freetaxusa.com as it is cheaper and easier frankly. But I still do print out the Tax Report in Quicken Classic and used it to do my taxes, which I filed last Monday.

However, with the new Tax Report in Simplifi, it appears I can use it for 2025. I like what I see so far!

    Hey everyone!

Do these new export-to-tax-program options in the Taxes Report work for TurboTax?

    Let us know!

@Coach Natalie I hadn't heard of txj report but apparently it's an updated version of txf that Turbotax uses.

But, with the Taxes Report, it just takes a few minutes to enter the information manually, which is what I did last week. And you import your personal information from last year's taxes. So even without your tax program supporting txf & txj import, it's not that much trouble.

I appreciate the new feature. I'll await replies from Turbotax users.
