Ability to Bulk Merge/Delete Payee & Category Rules (edited)

I've accumulated hundreds of duplicate and unneeded transaction rules that I'd like to cleanup and consolidate, but deleting rules requires a right click for each one to remove. It would be great to be able to multi-select a batch for deletion.

It addition, please create an option to select multiple rules and then merge to deduplicate.

Is there any action on this request? Deleting multiple rules or tags for example is very tedious and slow when prompted to acknowledge delete for each item. Maybe allow check boxes for a combined delition? Or at least focus the delete option so the spacebar can be used to acknowledge the delete action. As of now it is a carpal tunnel nightmare. Thanks.
