move spending category from 'other spending' to 'planned spending' (edited)

Is there a way to take a category in 'other spending' and create an entry for 'planned spending'? I have set up planned spending with the major items and let other spending track the incidentals but when something starts to grow and I want to move it to planned spending, it would be great to highlight that category and 'create a planned spend' from it.

If you don't have a Planned Spending item for a "Home Supplies" category, for example, but can see in Other Spending that you're spending enough to specifically track it, you can create a new Planned Spending item for the Home Supplies category. All current expenses for the month will automatically be moved from Other Spending to Planned Spending and balances will be adjusted accordingly.

I do not know of a way of doing what you describe. I will just add the category needed to planned spending using the existing add a expense feature.
