How to link a manual transaction to a Spending Plan Subscription

I had to manually add a transaction to a Checking account. (for some reason Simplifi did not import it from the Bank) When I try to Link the transaction to a Subscription in the Spending Plan, the manually added transaction does not show up in the list to choose from.

Is this by design or a bug?

    i found the answer, i had to make the transaction Recurring so it would show up in Subscriptions.
