Are there plans to allow tracking of investment accounts towards savings goals?

Are there plans to enable tracking of investment accounts towards savings goals? Currently, I'm required to link a Checking/Savings account. I need to track savings toward my savings goal in my Vanguard investment account, which is currently not supported for Savings Goals, and it is requiring me to link my Checking account, which results in a negative balance when I try to contribute and doesn't allow me to contribute $ towards my goal (as this is NOT where I'm storing my savings and Simplifi adds my Savings goal as a line item under my Checking acct on the main dashboard).

Is there a manual method to track contributions towards saving goals without linking to a Checking account? Or any plans to address this without adding a manual account and inflating my net worth on the main dashboard? This is blocker for tracking savings goals, as not everyone keeps their savings in a Checking or Savings account.

I ran into this issue a few months ago when I started using Simplifi. I opted for including a recurring transfer from my checking to my investment account monthly and adding a tag to such transfer, IRA Cont, in my case.

When I need to, I run a filter by tag IRA Cont on the transaction list to track my progress. The investment account balance increases with the cash transfer.

There is an open feature request to allow savings goals to be assigned to investment accounts. Vote for it below.
