I have not yet opted to start using Simplifi, but I have a question…

Can you connect Simplifi to your bank accounts so deposits and debits automatically go in and go out?

Do you have to set up categories yourself for the budget or does it have choices to choose from?

Yes, transactions get downloaded from your bank. However, you need to initiate transactions from your bank.

Simplifi comes with categories and you can select them to use in planned spending. You can also set up recurring bills, which will show under the income after bills and subscriptions section.

The banks download transactions upon initial connections, usually 90 days, sometimes longer. You can categorize the transactions that come in, then review reports to give you an idea of how much are you spending.

After that, you can create a spending plan. If you want, you can request an onboarding call from support. That may help with your setup.
