How to add historical car loan data

Hi all,

I'm trying to upload historical data of my car loan. I have two questions:

- The car loan is not coming up in the list of accounts I can upload historical data to - is this expected or a glitch?

- Should the values of the car loan be positive or negative?

As for your second question, when setting up the auto loan account manually it asks you for the balance on the account. Any transactions entered, such as payments, will affect your balance on that account based on the transaction entered. If you are setting up the account to be connected in Quicken Simplifi, you won't see transactions, but Quicken Simplifi will update the balance as changes are made to the balance on the bank's website.

Thanks Jon, the solution that actually worked for me was making my loan account a "manual account", uploading the historical data, and then reconnecting the account and linking it to the loan.

As for the second question - I uploaded the data with negative values.
