Another Oddity with Wells Fargo Pending Transactions/Downloads

I am still experiencing the odd behavior of duplicate downloads for transactions that are pending for multiple days. Hopefully this is still being worked on.

The new oddity is that when one of these pending transactions finally does clear at the bank, the existing pending transaction in Simplifi is deleted or disappears. It goes away. It is no longer in the QS transaction register for the account and the recurring reminder if it had been matched in the Spending Plan Income section reverts back to "Upcoming" or "Past Due" depending on the date set in the reminder and the actual date of the transaction.

The duplicating pending transactions seem to be recurring income deposits at the bank that take two or three+ days to clear for some reason. Wells Fargo changes the dates of the pending transactions to the current date each day. QS adds an income or large deposit notification during the pending period until these transactions clear along with a duplicate entry in the bank register and an entry in the Income section of the Spending Plan.

Yesterday (May 10) one of these multiday pending deposits cleared at the bank and when QS updated yesterday, the transaction disappeared in QS along with resetting the Income reminder to some kind of not received.

I wondered about this but ended up manually adding the transaction and went on with my day.

This morning after refreshing I was reviewing my spending plan and noticed that the second income transaction was missing from the list (it had been there for the past several days with a duplicate) and the recurring reminder had reverted to "Upcoming."

I went to the account register and indeed that transaction was missing. I logged into my bank account and this transaction had been cleared overnight and had been in my QS register in duplicate form for the past several days but now that the transaction had cleared at the bank, the transaction was nowhere to be found in QS.

I'll keep an eye on these transactions next month to see if this behavior repeats with accompanying screenshots of the bank website and QS registers. For now, I wanted to make note of the behavior here.

Also, for now, I will manually reenter the transaction.

Thanks for letting us know about this behavior. It sounds similar to the issue from December that was marked resolved not too long ago (link).

Yes, well, I was a part of that earlier conversation.

I have had the problem of duplicate transactions based on pending transactions at Wells Fargo ever since I switched over to the OAuth connection. I've just been living with it since it has only impacted these few deposits - SSA and now apparently, my wife's consulting paycheck deposits.

My SSA payment typically takes 3-4 days to clear at the bank and as it remains pending, each day I will see a new entry in QS for that one transaction at my bank. Now the same thing is happening with my wife's paycheck deposits as it takes 2-3 days for those to clear.

The new behavior is that when these transactions do clear at the bank, the entries in my QS registry disappear. However, after rereading the thread you link above, I see that the disappearing act was happening then too, at least for a while.

I'll keep an eye on this in June to see what happens and document the process with screenshots of my bank and QS registers.
