Include multiple categories in a spending plan

Hi Community,

I'm a new Quicken Simpilifi user. It looks like only one category is allowed to be included in one spending plan/budget, but I would like to put dining and grocery under one budget. I'm also unable to create a new category and put them under that to create a spending plan, because the category hierarchy currently only allows 2 levels.

Please advise what I can do to make it happen. I saw some posts with similar questions in the past but I'm not sure if a new feature has been added or if I can use other methods to make it work.

Also, Is there a way to create an overall budget? Or an "everything else" budget like what Mint had.

Have you considered renaming one of the categories to be "Dining and Groceries" and put those expenses under that category?

Maybe not ideal, but i've done that kind of thing.
