Chase Credit Card syncing transactions only for primary credit card user

Hello:

I have a Chase credit card currently syncing and refreshing in my accounts. However and recently, I realized that it was downloading only some of the transactions. Digging in further, I realized that the transactions synced in Simplifi were only for the primary user of the account. Account in Simplifi was setup using the credentials of the primary user. On further investigation, I discovered that on Chase website and under "Linked apps and websites", I can control which accounts are synced with Quicken/Simplifi. In there, only the primary account holder's credit card was selected for the connection. I checked the additional users as well in the connection settings on Chase.

Now, I guessing that future transactions from both primary and additional users for the Chase account (credit card) will get synced/refreshed. What is the best way to go about syncing PAST transactions for the secondary/additional user? Will it get automatically updated? Or, do they have to be manually importated? Please advise.

    @hicks, thanks for the reply!

    If you're able to access both accounts when signing in on the bank's website, you should be able to add those same accounts using the same login credentials in Quicken Simplifi. It sounds like you initially only added the one account that was authorized, and you now need to add the correct account.

    Which account would you like to see transactions download for in Quicken Simplifi? If you want to keep your existing account in Quicken Simplifi and just link it to the correct Chase account so the correct transactions are downloading, you can do so by following these steps:

    1. Make the existing account manual by following the steps here.
    2. Once you see the account listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the bank.
    3. Carefully link the correct account to your existing Quicken Simplifi account by following the steps here.

    This will allow you to retain all historical data and should get the account properly linked moving forward so the correct transactions download. As you can see, you don't need to delete the existing account to make this happen, but you do need to add or link the correct account to see those transactions download.

    @hicks, thanks for posting your inquiry to the Community!

    To clarify, are the primary holder's card and the additional user's card completely separate accounts on Chase's website? If so, they might need to be added as separate accounts in Quicken Simplifi. Now that you've authorized the additional account on Chase's website, have you gone back through the Add Account flow in Quicken Simplifi to add it?

    hello, thank you for your quick response.

    on Chase website, the additional user has a separate card number (as with every other credit card company). But I have only one set of credentials to manage the cards - so guessing I won’t be adding another account.

    When you say ‘ go back and Add Account flow‘, do you mean I need to delete the existing account in Simplifi and re-login with the same credentials?
