Unable to connect Ally Loan account - Sold to Synchrony

Ally loan linking (https://customercare.ally.com/) broke in the past week. Likely due to the fact Ally has sold loans business to Synchrony. They sold the business in March but it wasn't until last week that the systems were migrated. The URL is now https://customercare.syf.com/

It is the exact same login and systems, just a new URL. Should just require a URL change behind the scenes.

Could we get this FI fixed?

    Hello @ConBow,

Thanks for reaching out! It looks like the former URL links to the synchrony website after checking on our side. I see the error you are receiving is FDP-106. I would try the below steps and then let us know if that works for you!

    1. Hover over the menu on the left-hand side and select Settings.
    2. Select Accounts.
    3. Locate the Financial Institution that's receiving the error and select the three dots at the end of it.
    4. Select Reset connection and then click Reset.
    5. Enter your credentials, then click Connect.
    6. Once your accounts are presented, select the Link option to the right of each account.
    7. Click Link To and select the matching account.
    8. Click Complete when done.

    Thanks,

    Coach Jon

@Coach Jon I have tried that, same issue.

As I mentioned, the URL is no longer valid. The URL of the financial institution login has changed, and script needs to be updated.
It is the exact same login system/credentials as customercare.ally.com - but now at customercare.syf.com

    Hello @ConBow,

Thanks for the reply. I would suggest having you make the accounts manual and then re-link. You can make the accounts manual and then use the Add Account flow to get a completely fresh connection. If the connection is successful, you'll then want to link the accounts to your existing Quicken Simplifi accounts. Let us know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Coach Jon

    @Coach Jon
It does not work. As I stated, the URL that Quicken is using for logging into Ally Loans is gone. You all need to update the script.

I've provided the exact information that is needed for your dev team to fix this. Nothing on my end is going to fix this issue

    "https://customercare.ally.com/" is now "https://customercare.syf.com/"

Please submit a ticket to update your data collection script, or copy it for the new domain.

    Hello @ConBow,

Thanks for the reply. May I have you answer these questions below:

    1. The name of the account, as it appears in Quicken Simplifi.
    2. The name of the account, as it appears on the bank's website.
    3. What type of account are you attempting to connect?
    4. Has there been any activity in the account in the last 90 days?
    5. A screenshot of the Accounts Summary page from the bank's website that lists all accounts and balances (feel free to redact any personal info) and has a wide enough scope to show the page URL (this must be taken from a web browser and not a mobile browser

Additionally, if I could have you send logs, we will need those as well. You can send logs by following the instructions below:

    1. Log into the Quicken Simplifi Web App.
    2.  Select Profile from the left-hand navigation bar.
    3.  With the Profile menu open, hold down the Option key for Mac or the Alt key for Windows, and then click Send Feedback.
    4.  Leave all boxes checked, add a brief description of the issue, and then click Send.

    Thanks,

    Coach Jon
