Incorrect balance in Simplifi (edited)

my bank balance says 389.63, but Simplifi says 717.63… it’s way off. I only have expenses for the next week when my next paycheck will auto deposit so I know this is wrong.

How do I fix this?

    Check how QS is handling your bank balances:

    At the top of the Accounts list, click on the 3-dot menu. Try changing the "Balance Type" settings to see if the corrects the issue in QS.

    This support article will give you more information on how QS handles bank balances:

    do you have uncleared transactions? They get applied, in some cases, on top of bank balance. Simply mark them cleared if they are.

    I didn’t think I did but yesterday I checked the balance and it had adjusted to the correct number. So it’s all good.

    It seems that the balance goes wonky sometimes but eventually corrects itself. I will keep a closer eye on it from now on.

    @sunflowermom,

    With my checking account in Simplifi, I'm at the point where I trust the numbers displayed on the Projected Balance chart about 90%. It's gotten to the point where I'm comfortable - though I don't want to do it - with taking my checking account down to just $3 for a few days till the next paycheck comes in. Obviously, this is only after having done all the normal receipt entry, bank reconciliations, double-checks of upcoming bills, etc., etc., etc.

    Also, I might just not be noticing, but I haven't seen the real-life bank balance and Simplifi's displayed account balance go out of sync enough for it to have even registered as a thing. Ultimately, I believe you should be able to get to the same point with Simplifi so don't give up or just assume that "oh, sometimes it just goes wonky." The more you learn about Simplifi, the tighter your tracking will likely become.

    I'm happy that it came back in sync this time.
