add "last category" as an option

for some reason, often some of my items are "uncategorized". I'd like it to search for similar titles (e.g., store XX vs. store XY) and give a suggestion for a category.

    adding to this - could you change the "remember transaction" so it's more intuitive? Everytime I update a category it always asks me to save. I'd like to make it so it only saves if I ask it to. I'd also like to change the transaction it uses for a search term. E.g., "shop X*" should change any transactions with "shop X" in it to a specific category.

    Hello @Supervroom,

    Thank you for coming to the Community to share your feedback! Please limit it to one idea/recommendation per Idea post. For your additional suggestions, I recommend you create additional Idea posts for them.

    You may also find Transaction Rules useful for some of what you're trying to do. For more information, please read this article:

    @Supervroom, thanks for posting!

    I went ahead and moved this out of Feature Requests, as it sounds like at least part of what you're looking for is already available in Quicken Simplifi. It would also be nice to gain some clarity on your statement: "I'd like it to search for similar titles (e.g., store XX vs. store XY) and give a suggestion for a category." — this sounds like Transaction Rules, which is what Coach Kristina shared above. Have you taken a look at Transaction Rules, or, if so, can you better describe how Transaction Rules don't meet your needs?

    For your additional comment, it sounds like you're looking to disable the Transaction Rule prompts that come up when editing a transaction. If so, the Transaction Rules article also has an FAQ section at the bottom that goes over how to do this. You'll want to look for "How do I stop Quicken Simplifi from suggesting a Transaction Rule every time I edit a transaction?".

    I hope this helps!
