Having major trust issues with Simplifi

I’m struggling to trust Simplifi and now need to manually calculate last month’s spending. On Saturday, I had some leftover money from November that I rolled into savings. Sunday morning, I woke up to an unexpected subscription renewal (was supposed to have been cancelled, I have already been refunded) late Saturday putting me slightly into “overspent.” Today, new transactions showed up with November 30 dates. I manually moved those into December, and now, I’m showing more money leftover in November. I’m unable to figure out what else has changed.

On top of that, my checking balance shows incorrectly anytime there are or have recently been pending transactions.

Just a little frustrated here…

    I understand your view regarding trusting the data @Randy17485 . With the spending plan, deleting and recreating the planned spending items with issues/not correct totals, can work to resolve any issues with final available to spend totals for the month. I saw on the community that others were having trouble with planned spending tiles in the spending plan.

    I seen you posted about bank balance inaccuracies elsewhere. Hope your issues get solved.

    @Randy17485 At the end of the month, what sometimes happens, is transactions that were PENDING at the end of the month are CLEARED at the beginning of the next month, and simplifi by design uses the POSTED date (when it clears) as the transaction date, so it might've updated transactions that were pending at the end of last month to this month.

    @RobWilk Thanks for the information!

    I voted for that feature, but I’m not sure that’s what is happening in my case. It would have to be transactions showing for yesterday or today, if that were the case, right?

    Another useful feature might be to highlight what’s changed since the last time I opened Simplifi, making it easier to troubleshoot things like this.

    Ok - two transactions on the same account. One show the posted date as the date in Simplifi, and the other shows the transaction date as the date in Simplifi.

    Thanks again @RobWilk , all is right now. I swear something shifts every time I open the app!

    Is one of the pending and one cleared? I've seen pending transactions with the transaction date that switch to the posted date when they clear.

    I understand the trust issue. It would be worse for me if I didn't use Quicken Classic in tandem with Simplifi. In my case, Simplifi is only off just a few hours each day and is usually right on the weekends and Mondays.

    @EL1234 No, but one of them is a recurring bill that I have set up as a series and one of them is not.

    Hmm… I wonder if that makes a difference, feels like it shouldn't but who knows!

    I have seen the same behavior recently. Maybe I did not notice before.

    The November end of month changed again from yesterday to today, and, so far, I have been unable to find another transaction that posted to account for the difference.
