    That is something that Quicken support couldn't come up with.

    It's a fairly new feature that appeared with the revised transaction register.

    But I'm still surprised that support didn't know about it.

    This is beyond frustrating and not at all "simplified". The idea that making a rule for every single transaction is the fix that Quicken puts forth is completely nonsensical and makes using this tool even more complicated to use. The underlying assumption to their suggestion is that all charges are recurring which is bonkers. That is clearly not the case for almost all users. I don't see any communications from Quicken about whether they even plan to fix this. Not living up the Simplifi name. May need to go back to my old tool as this is fast becoming a deal breaker.

    If you are concerned about the same thing that @thomasvr was posting about — the ability to see the original payee name — you can do that pretty easily. There is no need to make a rule for each transaction. I have no idea why support would suggest that, as it is unworkable. See my earlier post (linked below).
