Going to ask another question as you have been so helpful. I sort my transactions with filters as above. When I go to split the transaction and hit UPDATE the screen returns me to the register but the sort is gone. I have to sort once again. Any help with this?

    Thank you

    Hello @pasteve99,

Thank you for following up! I just tried this from my side, and the filter remained after splitting a transaction in the register. Are you sure the filter is being removed? You will know if a filter by date is still in effect by this symbol in the column:

We may need a screen recording from your end to see exactly what is occurring, since I am unable to reproduce the issue. You can either send it here or to me via DM if you prefer. Let us know!

Reading the subject line of the post…

"When splitting a transaction with filters set, my sort order gets reset"

It's the sort that gets reset, not the filters.

    Hello @EL1234,

We will have to wait for the original user to come back with an answer on this, as I am not sure which sort order they would be referring to, since they mentioned that they "sort the transactions with filters as above". If they were filtering by the date column, as the previous thread indicated, the only sort order they could change is ascending vs. descending. I tried reproducing in both ascending and descending orders, and the sort order remained the same.

@pasteve99, If you can let us know, that would be great! Thank you!

Maybe after filtering by date, they sorted by amount or category or something? I guess we'll find out.
