Wealthsimple Account Linking Method Update
Based on other posts (Wealthsimple [connectivity] works again — Simplifi) and my own testing, Wealthsimple connectivity in Simplifi does work—but only to a certain extent.
A couple of limitations I noticed:
- It only connects investment accounts, not chequing or credit cards (which are key for budgeting).
- The login prompt still asks for a Mint token instead of Wealthsimple credentials, which is a bit confusing.
For syncing, I’m wondering if that's because Simplifi is still using older Intuit APIs. Wealthsimple seems to fully connect via Plaid in other tools like [removed competitor mention] and QuickBooks. Any plans to switch the API and support all account connections?

@Joccob, thanks for posting your inquiry to the Community!
I'm not seeing any further information on connectivity with Wealthsimple in Quicken Simplifi on my end, so I'm afraid we don't have insight into whether the Mint token field will be updated to prompt for a password, or if there are plans to switch to a different connection type, etc. However, I am glad to hear you were able to get connected! Having previous discussions in the Community on what worked for other users is definitely helpful, so thanks for sharing that.
Regarding specific Wealthsimple account types not being supported, I'm also not finding anything on our end to indicate this. I see the user mentioned that was their experience prior, in the other thread you shared, so that may be the case, but I'm not certain.
Since this seems more like feedback or a request for an update on Wealthsimple's integration with Quicken Simplifi, I'd recommend creating a separate post for the missing accounts issue specifically if you'd like to do some troubleshooting.
This will allow us to take a closer look at why those account types aren't being discovered.

I tried to delete the account and reconnect again and everything works. All the account showed up. It seems to be a one-time connection issue.
