Net worth chart does not reflect opening balance - how to resolve? (edited)
Earlier this year, I created an account for my mortgage andI added an opening balance transaction dated Jan 1 2026. I also started recording the mortgage payment with splits for the capital amount and the interest. The Transactions list for the mortgage account shows all the transactions since then, including the opening balance on Jan 1, and they are all correct. However there is no column that shows the balance after each transaction.
The newt worth chart does not reflect the opening balance I entered for Jan 1st but it appears to take it into account between April 18 and April 19 of this year which may be when I created the account. The new worth as of April 19th is correct.
Is this expected behavior? I would have thought the opening balance I entered for the account would have been reflected in my newt worth starting on Jan 1 not April 19.

@phaworth, thanks for posting your inquiry to the Community!
The Net Worth feature in Quicken Simplifi, as well as the Net Worth Report, are designed to start tracking balances from the date the account was added, not the date of the opening transaction. However, you can easily resolve this by importing the account balance history! The following help article has the steps and the CSV template file needed to accomplish this.

I hope this helps!

This question comes up so often, it makes me wonder if Simplifi should simplify the solution by making it more intuitive/easy/obvious when looking at the Net Worth graph.
