Need to add new Provider as Prudential switched to wealth.emaplan.com for their backend

Prudential had been using MyStreetScape for its clearinghouse, and this could be accessed in Simplifi via the "MyStreetScape - Investments" financial provider, with no issues.

Every few years, Prudential switches clearinghouses and they recently moved to emaplan. The sub-site to access emaplan for Prudential is:

https://wealth.emaplan.com/prudential/SignIn

Looking in the accounts section of Simplifi there is an entry for "Waddell and Reed - eMoney" which uses this URL:

https://wealth.emaplan.com/waddell/SignIn

So it looks like there is already an example of another FI using this backend, and we just need a new Account created like "Prudential - eMoney" or "Prudential - emaplan" with a link to:

https://wealth.emaplan.com/prudential/SignIn

Thanks,

Perry

@perrynmyers, thanks for letting us know!

This isn't something that the Quicken Simplifi Care Team would handle unless you're experiencing a specific issue connecting to the bank. Updating access points and URLs and things of that nature is handled by the banks and our service provider, and they usually plan for changes like this so users don't lose connectivity. Additionally, the URL you see displayed in Quicken Simplifi for a specific bank is not always the URL used to connect on the backend.

With that, are you currently connected to Prudential in Quicken Simplifi? If so, which bank option are you connected to? Are you experiencing an error or anything along those lines?

Please let us know so we can best assist!

Thanks for the quick reply @Coach Natalie

Today I get my data from Prudential through the "MyStreetScape - Investments" provider in Simplifi, since that is the backend clearinghouse that Prudential has been using up until now.

Last week I was asked (by Prudential) to create a new account on https://wealth.emaplan.com/prudential as they are moving off of MyStreetScape and moving over to this platform.

I can log into both MyStreetScape and WMS (via their web portals) for the time being, but I know that they do plan to shut off MyStreetScape, I think in November, when they fully cut over to the new system.

I am not able to use the "Prudential Financial" provider in Simplifi as it gives me an error of "A multi-factor authentication is required to connect to your account at Prudential Financial. Care Code: FDP-187", but never gives me an opportunity to enter the 2FA code (a screen never pops up to ask for it). I do get an SMS from Prudential with a code when I attempt to login via this provider in Simplifi, but because Simplifi never pops up a dialog box to ask for the code, it just results in the FDP-187 error.

In any case, I would expect at some point Prudential will be asking you to switch this over, so if anything this might just be a bit of a heads up for you :)

    Cheers,

    Perry
