We're working on linking DirecTV. We'll let you know if we need anything else.
Hi,
I am a new user to Simplify. I am currently getting this error message when trying to link to DirectTV as a biller. I have verified that my credentials work without issue when logging into the DirectTV site. I actually have numerous other sites that are giving me the same issue (Sirius Satellite Radio, Netflix, HBO MAX, and others) all verified that my credentials are correct. Is there something I am doing wrong?

That message means they really don't support that biller yet. The 3rd party company that providers the biller services lists many companies that they do not yet support, and that makes its way into this app. Sorry for not having better news.

Hi Rob and thanks for the response. After some searching, I found a thread from January with a user describing the same issue. The thread administrator, Coach Natalie, stated that this is due to the billers being in a 'degraded' status. I am not sure what that means. But she stated that this is the reason the connection is not working. She also called out Netflix specifically during her troubleshooting and said she was able to connect without issue.
Are other's having these issues? It seems like the majority of my bills are not working with this service.
Is there a list of vendors that will work with Simplicity?

In my experience with the bill connect feature it is hit and miss… mostly miss. With the exception of SoCalGas and CalWater my recurring bills and subscriptions are set amounts that don't vary month to month making this service pretty much irrelevant. I was able to connect to that SoCalGas and CalWater which are my two bills that vary seasonally but so that is nice, but I've had a "connection error" with SoCalGas for so no monthly updates there. All that to say as nice as it sounds, in practice, bill connect is of little practical value.

I agree with @DannyB — The bill connect feature -is- mostly miss. Basically, if you get that error, it means it's not supported at this time for whatever reason ("degraded") - and there's nothing you can do to fix it. I think out of all my billers, I was able only to connect maybe T-Mobile and right away even that failed last month. I almost feel like if some of these billers are in"degraded" status, they shouldn't prompt you for your username and password and make you wait to find out. It was explained what 3rd party billing service handles this and they suggested i reach out to them directly for this in the past. The company is called "BillGo" and I tried reaching out to them and had no response - this is where I was told:

Hello @sbarger777,
Most of the billers you list in your initial post are showing in "degraded" status, meaning they're not currently supported, but may be in the future. Netflix shows that it should be supported. How long have you been seeing that message when you try to connect Netflix? Does it ever successfully connect, or does it just show that message until you cancel/delete it?
I look forward to your response!
