Simplifi is unable to stay connected to Venmo account

I really cannot believe that in 2025 Simplifi and Venmo have not worked out something so that the accounts can stay connected and synced. I understand that it's because Venmo is requiring multi-factor authentication for security purposes, but once I enter the code and say Remember device… it should not be prompting me to re-connect the account every few hours. It defeats the whole purpose of having a budgeting/finance app that connects to my Venmo transactions and keeps everything updated smoothly and seamlessly. Every Coach I've chatted about doesn't seem to understand how important this is. Most people use Venmo to pay people for things these days! Be proactive and figure out a solution! People have complained about this on here for a while now.

@ryanjmacc, thank you for coming to the Community to share your feedback regarding Venmo! We understand how frustrating connection issues can be.
Would you mind describing in more detail what specifically is occurring? Do you receive an error or anything along those lines? When viewing your connection attempts from our end, I see the latest attempt was successful. Before that, I see an FDP-185 error, which indicates that MFA needs to be completed.
If the issue is that you're prompted for MFA with every refresh, this is a security measure put in place by the banks. However, we have a new option in Quicken Simplifi that allows you to reduce the frequency a bank updates, which gives you control over when to complete MFA!
We also have a couple of Idea posts that you can leave your feedback on and follow for updates. The second one is for OAuth, which seems to clear up MFA issues for a lot of banks. I'm not sure if OAuth for Venmo is something that's on their roadmap (OAuth connections are managed by the bank), but other users have mentioned Venmo in the request.
I hope this helps!
