Tax Line Items: Missing an assignment location for self-employed health insurance (edited)

I don't see a specific category of tax-type assignments for self-employed health insurance.

Quoting from Turbotax:

This health insurance write-off is entered on Part II of Schedule 1 as an adjustment to income and transferred to page 1 of Form 1040, which means you benefit whether or not you itemize your deductions.

Thanks

    @fcb, thanks for letting us know!

    I have turned this into a Feature Request so other users can vote on it and our product team can review it. Since Tax Line Items are brand new, I also forwarded this as "feedback" to ensure they see it.

    I hope this helps!

    @Coach Natalie Thanks!

    There should also be a catchall "Tax Form/Line Item" for all the seldom random things. That way, your end won't have to create a new item for every one of our requests.

    @Coach Natalie Also, Categories that have been toggled to "Tax Related" should have that show up in filtering, reports and .cvs data dumps.

    @fcb, thanks for the additional suggestions!

    Please go ahead and make any additional requests separately:

    The 2nd item you mentioned sounds like it could be a bug. You'd want to create a separate post to report what you're seeing so we can take a look and be sure:

    Much appreciated!

    Unfortunately, I'm not sure we'll be able to add just any tax line item. Our tax line items are tied to the TXF format that is used to import into tax programs. I don't think Turbo Tax has published a new tax line item definition file in a long time. My concern is if we add a new tax line item, it won't be supported by TXF nullifying a key use case. In any case, thanks for letting us know and we'll investigate more.

    Got it, it's an industry issue.
