Reconnecting account leading to loss of Bill/Subscription Series Setups and Data

Hi there,
I had to re-connect one of my accounts on my mobile this morning as a new card was issued and the transactions weren't being pulled.
The account reconnected fine, but I was subsequently offered a page that appeared to list all the reoccurring transactions that were associated with that card and asked if I would like to add these. Thinking that I already had these setup, and I was simply refreshing the card, I assumed they'd just become duplicates to my pre-setup ones - so I deselected them all and continued on, not giving it another thought.
Unfortunately, it was not very clear that by deselecting them it was actually deleting all the series's that I had been using for the past 14 months, so not only have I lost the time it takes to painstaking set these up for each bill/subscription, I've also lost all the past history. All the old series are now dumped into general spending, and my previous tidy past months are now a mess. Crazy thing is I got no warning that that was about to happen, nor did the language on the page imply this was such a critical junction.
First - is there any way to get the newly-deleted series' back??? I'm mourning this data loss big time.
Second - can you at least put language on that post-reconnection page so other people don't fall victim to this? Being able to wipe out all that data should never be so easy. Searching the forum I get the impression I'm not the first.
NB: I don't have screenshots etc I'm afraid, there was no warning as I did this that I would need to take any. And please only request account info if you really need it, this seems to be a stock part of the UI and appears to be easily repeatable - and I don't want to risk losing more data.
Thanks

When you reconnected them, did you first:
(1) make the account manual, and
(2) when connecting the new/same account, link it to existing account rather than adding new.
I believe if you actually deleted the account before re-adding it, you may have deleted recurring transactions linked to that account.

Hi Rob, thanks for the response…
- Nope - i didn't switch it to manual as it was a simple refresh of the connection - the usual fix for an account that stops pulling transactions.
- Yes, I was very careful to re-link it back to the original account (the default was to create a new one).
I still have all the transaction history intact, I just lost all the recurring series (the bills and subscriptions) that had interacted with the account.

That's odd. I know i've said 'no' to those prompts like you did in the recent past, and it did not delete them for me.
Maybe someone else has an idea, sorry i couldn't help.

All good Rob! Thanks for lending your thoughts. Interesting it didn't delete them for you.

Hello @RoRo,
Thanks for reaching out! I apologize for the recent trouble with re-linking your account. This definitely seems interesting. To clarify your situation, no actual transactions were deleted correct? Just the recurring series reminders? If that is the case, you may just need to recreate them for the newly linked account. Are you able to delete the old reminders that are no longer associated with the account?

Hi Jon,
You're correct - it was just the recurring series reminders. No actual transactions were lost. All the reminders I deselected disappeared and yes, I could recreate them fresh.
There are no reminders now that were formerly associated with the account as deselecting them I mistakenly lost them all. As to any other reminders associated with other accounts, I'd rather not try to delete them. I often use the 'view series' to see how a bill has changed in value other time. If I delete one I'll lose that ability.
Which leads me to why I'm sad I lost all this associated data on the reminders. I lost around a dozen of these reminders and recreating them then linking them back to 14 months of historical transactions to get me back to where I was would be very time consuming.
It sounds like the associations of the data to the reminders are lost - so really I'm just flagging that that screen really should give more warning about what its doing, perhaps an 'are you sure' notice if you deselect bills that are attached to reminders that have historical data attached.
Thanks
