Ability to add Attachments to each Split (edited)

When I make a split transaction for the paycheck, I have it defined as shown in the attached image. I see in the transaction list the splits for VIO Bank, Money Market [removed - privacy] (Resty), and the net check deposit as three separate transactions, I understand why. But when I try to marked using a flag for reviewing or attach a document (such as the deposit notice at the bank), I get the message about can’t edit and any edits must be done with the split transaction. However, when I have these documents attached to the split transition, they are not carried over. This is because there is no way to attach a document to the split.

Unless I am not understanding, I would request that for a split transaction that a document be able to be attached (such as the bank receipt). If there is another way to do them, then let me know.

The ability to treat splits like other transactions is one of the most requested features. I'm not sure attaching documents has been mentioned, but people have requested this change to enable split-specific tagging, notes, dates, etc. Split-specific document attachment is also a good idea, and if it hasn't been added to the list of requests it should be.

@Dick_Davis I don't upload attachments very often but as a workaround, you can upload more than one attachment per transaction. In case you hadn't thought of it. I never did until today. 😀

I've had similar issues with Flags when creating a transfer from part of a split transaction. It used to work and stopped. There's a thread about it somewhere here.
