Transaction Rules: Ability to "stop processing additional rules" (edited)
The rules are great. However, there are two limitations that prevent them from being really usable for nontrivial automation.
TLDR: Users need the ability to manually order rules AND rules need the ability to stop/continue
Here is an example use case. I share Simplifi with my wife. We have mostly separate accounts. I would like two very simple rules: if from accounts x, y, z then tag 'husband' (rule 1) and then if from accounts a, b, c then tag 'wife' (rule 2).
These are simply "tagging" rules (by account). It would be useful to have myriad other rules (rename payee, and apply category by matching on name). Other useful ones might be automatically marking certain transactions as reviewed. The point is that a few simple rules can layer upon each other.
If users can order these (rules processed down the list), and then can have a checkbox (ala MS Outlook) "stop processing additional rules", then you have a LOT of freedom in how you set things up. You also, ironically, end up with fewer, simpler rules than otherwise.
In the example above, I can have two high-level rules that handle most of my tagging, rather than repeating this across every rule.

@SaishDawg, thanks for posting your suggestion to the Community!
I have converted this to an Idea post, requesting the ability to stop applying additional rules so other users can vote on it and our product team can review it. For more details on creating Idea posts here in the Community, please see our FAQ:
We also have an existing request here for the ability to sort rules:
Here are a couple of other related requests you may be interested in as well:
I hope this helps!
