Cannot connect to TIAA - Care code: PRODUCTS_NOT_SUPPORTED
I have been trying to get TIAA to sync since starting with Simplify last week.
The first TIAA option (direct) does not work at all.
The third TIAA option (Plaid) works for a couple of days, then gives
Care code: PRODUCTS_NOT_SUPPORTED
What is the ETA for having TIAA work consistently?

Resetting the connection properly logs me in to TIAA sharing page via Plaid and restores access. But only for a limited time.

@ChrisWT314, thanks for posting to the Community with this issue!
When checking our internal tools, it looks like TIAA is blocking or limiting connectivity. This has been determined to be a long-term issue, which is why the Plaid option was added to Quicken Simplifi. Though the Plaid option was presented as also having issues, unfortunately. There is a longer discussion regarding all of this here:
With that, I would recommend establishing a completely fresh connection with TIAA to see if doing so clears things up for you:
- Make all of the accounts with this bank manual by following the steps here.
- Once you see the account(s) listed in the Manual Accounts section under Settings > Accounts, go back through the Add Account flow to reconnect to the bank.
- If the connection is successful, carefully link the account(s) found to your existing Quicken Simplifi account(s) by following the steps here.
However, you may end up needing to reset every so often to keep the account connected if an error is presented. The following Alerts can also be followed for updates, as the known blocking issue is being worked on:
Sorry for not having a better answer, but I hope this helps!

As far as I can tell, the issue with TIAA has been going on since last September, so I wouldn't expect that it will be fixed any time soon. And before last September, there were other extended periods of time that the site was unreachable. I can never determine whether that's because TIAA doesn't want to support Simplifi or vice-versa. But as a new user, you'll soon learn that the automatic syncing with your banks should never be taken for granted. It's a great product, until you can't get current information to use in it.

Thanks to both. @Coach Natalie I will try these steps the next time the connection drops (or just delete and re-add TIAA via Plaid). It's holding steady on the plaid connection at the moment.
One suggestion - since this is a long-term problem, could Quicken disambiguate the various TIAA in the list (for example, by saying TIAA - Direct and TIAA - Plaid)?0 -
@ChrisWT314, I'm glad to hear the Plaid connection is holding steady for now!
As for differentiating between the Plaid, Intuit, and Finicity connectors, I’m not sure whether that’s currently possible. The best way to suggest a change or enhancement for the product team’s consideration would be to create an Idea post here in the Community.
I hope this helps!
