new investing action suggestions (edited)

I am forced to use Miscellaneous Expense for a number of actions as listed here…

  1. Exchange posting (the difference in exchange moving funds from C$ to US$ or back)
  2. Withholding tax
  3. Management Fee
  4. GST

Also could use a Matured action for bonds

    Thank you for reaching out and for your feedback! I am not well-versed in the different types of investing myself, but I believe creating separate idea posts to introduce each of these new investing actions, along with why they are needed, would be a great way to determine whether the community would like to see them added to the application. You will want one idea post for each investing action you would like to see added.

    You and others would then be able to vote for and follow the separate idea posts for updates.

    Can't help with the conversion exchange rate, but, my workaround has been to change the action to Payment / Deposit. Then you can categorize your entries as you want. It's a pain in the toosh, but it's the only way I've been able to get the search outcomes I need. That is the ONLY way I've been able to track dividends / interest and other income by security name.
