I am backfilling one of my investment accounts into Simplifi.

I've added some purchases in, but when I go to the portfolio tab, there is no holdings present.

Am I doing something wrong?

The account is not available to link online, so all must be manual. Will this ever work once I have it all backfilled?

    Hello @lynchbro,

Thank you for reaching out! To clarify, when you say you added some purchases in, do you mean you entered them as transactions?

If that is what you mean, then that's the reason you see no holdings on the portfolio tab. Investment transactions do not interact with the portfolio or with your account balance. For more information, please see this article: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/6540220-managing-investment-transactions#h_c7e964d37e

To add holdings to your manual investment account, please follow these steps from our article on managing investment accounts:

    1. Hover over the left panel and click Investments.
    2. Click the blue + Holding button.
    3. Select the account you'd like to add the holding to.
    4. Make sure the Stocks or options tab is selected.
    5. Enter the Company name, the Shares quantity, and the Price per share. You can also enter the Total cost to track gains.
Note: If you select a valid Ticker Symbol from the drop-down menu when entering the Company name, the Price per share will automatically be entered at the latest quote price.
    6. Click Add when done.

Adding cash is similar, but at step 4, select the Cash tab instead of Stocks or Options.

For information on how investment data updates in Quicken Simplifi, I recommend reviewing this article: https://support.simplifi.quicken.com/en/articles/5167335-how-do-my-investment-balances-update

    I hope this helps!
