How to "select all" in a filter so I can then uncheck a few boxes to exclude them from the search?

Question

I often want to filter transactions and want to look at everything EXCEPT one or two categories (same could apply to payees or anything else). This doesn't appear to be possible without tediously manually checking every box except the one or two I don't want. The task would be easily doable if there were a "select all" box at the top of the list, which is common with other software, such as email programs. In one simple click all the boxes would be checked, then I could simply uncheck the ones I want excluded in the filter. Is this possible now? The AI assistant said there wasn't a way other than manually checking all the boxes.

It's disheartening to see that this very useful, and seemingly simple-to-implement, feature was suggested five years ago and has quite a few positive comments and votes.

Yet we still can't do it. 🙁
