Ability to set a flag color for all new transactions that download so they're flagged as "new"

After being a Simplifi user for more than year, I have been able to get a personal process down with the App. However, there is one aspect that I would like to automate dealing with new transactions for the accounts. This desired automation is to have all the new incoming transactions flagged with a specific flag. Example is when a new transaction arrives is to have Simplifi to automatically market it with a specific flag. This would remove the task of flagging all the new transactions with the specific flag.

Is this desired automation doable at this time? If not, how can a feature suggestion
be entered.

To better understand what you're looking for, are you trying to use Transaction Rules to automatically apply a flag to transactions that meet certain criteria? Or are you trying to set a flag color for all new transactions that download so they're flagged as "new"? If the latter, have you considered using the "reviewed" status to identify which transactions are new? Here's how this looks on both the mobile and web apps:

I use the "reviewed" column to manage new transactions! We also have this existing request to add an icon for the accounts themselves when there are new transactions that you may be interested in voting for:

I too think it would be nice to have an icon next to the account showing newly downloaded transactions, but the votes are not there.

The dashboard feature that shows transactions waiting to be reviewed seems to be one way Simplifi is handling this. As @EL1234 intimates.

But fellow users, if you would like to see the suggestions above implemented, please vote for them! 😃

What would you envision happening to the “New Transaction” flag over time? Would it be deleted by the user, changed to a different color by the user, or would it be removed automatically by Simplifi and/or moved to a newer transaction?

When I wrote the discussion post, my vision was to have a rule that would be run when the new transactions for any account is received. Use this process at present - when I start Simplifi all the new transactions are downloaded. These are received with a "blank" flag. I then filter the Transactions for blank flags. After this list is displayed, I then change the flag to purple in a one by one manner. As I am doing this, since this is a filter, the changed flag transaction is removed from the list when the entered.

I would say that any color flag could be selected from the colored flags. As i work through my transactions when I reconcile a statement, the matching entries are changed to a green flag. When I enter a manual transaction, I have the flag set at purple. Purple means that the transaction has not be reviewed against a statement. A green flag means that it has appeared on the statement and has been reconciled with the statement.

I agree that the rule as in all rules shoudl be able to be created, set to run, and then made inactive any any point.

Hope this provides more detail on my suggestion.

Coach Natalie, this would work great if the optin was to select "not reconciled" and flag "none". Otherwise, as currently is presented does not work as envisioned.

To have an icon showing that a transaction is new in the download (received) would be great as it can then be filtered the same as flag with "none". This would visually show a tranaction that has been received. Also, I would say these need to be shown for a five (5) day period.

OK, I upvoted it. I would want it to flag all new downloaded transactions, even those originally entered manually.
