I thought I was missing something when I couldn't find how to do activity searches by date. I'm dumbfounded that functionality doesn't exist. Please, please add it!!

Filtering by date range in transactions is crucial! The Reports page does not include notes so creating a spreadsheet there does not help me. Please add this feature, or add notes to the reports page. It's ridiculous to have to select 70 different transactions every month manually!

The mobile app allows you to filter out this month and last month. It would be nice to select specific date ranges on the app.
The browser does not allow you to filter out either. It would be nice to be able to do this on both.

I made this comment in November of 2023:
I've been experimenting with the export feature. When exporting all transactions, they are sorted by date. When exporting transactions based on the visible transactions as directed in the referenced support article*, the transactions are not sorted by date. Weird and inconvenient.
Scrolling up and down to make sure the correct month is open and checked is not the way to go. A date filter is needed.
So this is a known issue, and not being addressed, per the referenced support article:
"Can I export transactions with a specific date range?
The ability to filter your Transaction Activity to a specific date range is not currently available in Quicken Simplifi. You can export an entire month's worth of transactions while excluding all other months by following the "Export Tips" above. Otherwise, we encourage you to join the discussion in our Community requesting a Date Range Filter by clicking here!"*https://help.simplifimoney.com/en/articles/3404263-how-to-export-transactions
When looking at transactions in the web app, I can either just hit the download icon, or select visible transactions before hitting the download icon. The records returned are the same, but the ordering is not. Here is the posted on info for the first 20 rows from each:
To me, this is another indication that CSV download-related requests are not going to get priority from Quicken.
Seeing how this request "Need a 'Select All' and 'Date Range' Filter" has been handled by Quicken, I don't hold my breath that many simple, popular changes are going to get their priority. They just don't seem to be worth Quicken's time. As a paying subscriber, that is more than disappointing. I can work around this issue, and the split transactions issue, but it shouldn't have to be this way.

Seems like an obvious need to me!

I just commented here to say; it's really stupid that a financial platform of any stripe, much less one connected so thoroughly as this one, lacks a filter by date. That's financial math 101. It's something that really makes me wonder if the people designing and building this platform have ever done any of this themselves at any point in their life. Nobody who lives in the real world would have made that mistake.
So yeah, I hate that I had to come here to VOTE for this feature, when anyone with sense would have put it in from the getgo. But here we are.
