Spending Plan Does Not Work for Me - Income does not always post on the 1st of the month [Edited]
The spending plan assumes that my income comes in exactly on the first of the month. But most companies pay employees on the closest day to the first of the month if the date falls on a weekend. So my income for July came in on June 29th and the spending plan has no way to recognize this situation.

That is correct; since the Spending Plan looks at just the current month, it does not see income that arrived the previous month, even if that income posted just 1-2 days before the end of the month. One workaround would be changing the date on the income transaction to the first of the month to force the Spending Plan to see it in the month you need it to reflect in (and perhaps putting in a note showing the actual posting date and why you edited it).
