Ability to use biometrics to sign into the Web App (edited)
I use Quicken Simplifi on a mac laptop equipped with biometrics. I would like to use the feature to sign in to Simplifi rather than it keeping me signed in all the time or having to enter credentials each time. Do you know the answer?

@patrickdundon, thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I'm not aware of the Quicken Simplifi Web App supporting biometrics for signing in, so I went ahead and turned this into an Idea post requesting the ability. Idea posts allow other users to vote for your request and our product team to review it.
I hope this helps!

Within the past few weeks my Windows laptop suddenly went to its eternal rest and I purchased a Chromebook. Even some higher end Chromebooks now have fingerprint readers. I'm assuming this will become a pretty standard feature for Mac/Windows/Chromebook laptops and tablets in the future, just as it has become the norm for smartphones. I'd not only like to see this capability for fingerprint readers, but also for cameras. My Pixel 8 allows for biometric logins of most of my accounts, and if there is sufficient ambient light, it sees my face as I'm looking at the phone and automatically logs me in to the account. If the light is low, it'll tell me there's insufficient light and request my fingerprint. This flexibility would be welcome on all devices. Most laptops and tablets have a front-facing camera. Why not allow flexible biometric login capability, regardless of device? I currently just keep my simplifi web version logged in all the time, but when I'm traveling, that certainly wouldn't be a good practice, and if I were burglarized and someone stole my Chromebook, that would be horrible. Even lacking the complete account number and login, it would still be a serious security issue. So I really support this idea, and suggest expanding it to be more comprehensive of current and future technologies, for all types of devices. (I believe the device's OS handles some of this, so I don't believe Quicken/simplifi would need to get down into the weeds on how current and future security devices work, such as retinal scanners, etc.)

chromebooks can run android apps from google play, can you run the QS app from play store? I believe that offers fingerprint sign in.

BTW: The way to do this on a web app, is to support what I think are called passkeys (*which may be another idea post). Passkeys (if I have the right name) enable the browser to save your password in key form, and have you sign in by tapping fingerprint (or face recognition, windows hello, etc).
