PayPal - Missing credit card account
Comments
-
Hello All,
Is anyone still seeing an issue with adding/connecting their PayPal accounts in Quicken Simplifi? If so, please provide fresh info as follows:
- Has there been any activity in the account in the last 90 days?
- The name of the missing account, as it appears on the bank's website.
- If the issue is occurring on an existing Quicken Simplifi account, the name of the account as it appears in Quicken Simplifi.
- The type of missing account (i.e. credit card, checking, etc).
- A screenshot of the Accounts Summary page from the bank's website (the page that lists all accounts and balances - feel free to redact any private info) and has a wide enough scope to show the page URL (this must be taken from a web browser and not a mobile browser).
Please also submit your logs via the 'Send Feedback' option:
- Log into the Quicken Simplifi Web App.
- Select Profile from the left-hand navigation bar.
- With the Profile menu open, hold down the Option key for Mac or the Alt key for Windows, and then click Send Feedback.
- Leave all boxes checked, add a brief description of the issue, and then click Send.
Thanks!

Yep! Working for me now

I'm able to connect my PayPal account and PayPal Cashback card but not my PayPal Credit account. I have submitted my logs with the Send Feedback option to help with troubleshooting the issue.

@Harwick Just noticed your profile pic, it seems very familiar, from a school I was attending 30 years ago, right to the notch cut out of the bottom right of the paw…. One of the students who attended that school when I was there is now running for president of the country…
@ruben117 I wish I could help— I used to have a PayPal credit account, but closed it in 2018.

@ruben117, we need the additional requested info to prove that this is still an issue:
- Has there been any activity in the account in the last 90 days?
- The name of the missing account, as it appears on the bank's website.
- If the issue is occurring on an existing Quicken Simplifi account, the name of the account as it appears in Quicken Simplifi.
- A screenshot of the Accounts Summary page from the bank's website (the page that lists all accounts and balances - feel free to redact any private info) and has a wide enough scope to show the page URL (this must be taken from a web browser and not a mobile browser).
- A screenshot of the Add Account screen in Quicken Simplifi showing that the account in question is missing at account discovery.
Thanks!

Checking in to see where we are at with the PayPal Credit card not being pulled in. I am able to see the PayPal checking pull in but not the PayPal Extras MasterCard yet.
Had to change my account Monizrr to this one so, this is not new information.
I was working with Coach Dulce and narrowed down the URL for the PayPal extras Mastercard residing on subdomain Paypal.syf.com
Full URL: https://paypal.syf.com/eService/AccountSummary/initiateAccSummaryAction.actionShe said there is no support for the subdomain at this time… ??? which is crazy because it worked a few months ago no problem.
Ideas?
Thanks So much!

@Moniz-rr , the escalation is still being worked on. As soon as an update becomes available, we'll be sure to post back accordingly.
We appreciate your continued patience!

I'm new to the app and I cannot even add the card. It does not come up as an available account when I try to connect. [removed]

@David Daily, thanks for reaching out!
We can certainly take a look at adding your case to the existing ticket for this issue, but we'd need to confirm the issue first. Please provide additional details, such as:
- Are you referring to the PayPal MasterCard?
- What option are you selecting in Quicken Simplifi to add the account?
- Do you have other PayPal accounts that are able to be added in Quicken Simplifi? If so, what type of accounts are they and what option are they connected to?
Please let us know so we can best assist!

Is there a fix to this yet? Credit card doesn't show as an option when connecting PayPal… only checking account shows. This is the main reason I signed up for Simplifi. The card seems to be serviced by Concerto (https://app.concertocard.com/)

Hello @Bexx,
Are you referring to the PayPal MasterCard? You mention it sees your checking account. Do you have any other accounts with PayPal? If so, what type of accounts are they and are you able to add them into your Quicken Simplifi?
I look forward to your reply!

I just signed up and am having this issue. There's no way to link the credit card as you login directly through paypal.com and you visit the sync bank page through SSO from there. When I go to link PayPal I get a "checking account" option to add but the credit card linked to my PayPal account is not there.

@HandoffBarry are you talking about the Paypal Cashback Mastercard?
If it's about Paypal Credit (not mastercard), here's another thread:
For the Paypal Cashback Mastercard, check out these current threads:

I am having the same issue. I added my PayPal account but the Paypal MasterCard does not show up in the imported account within Quicken.

@Bhikudave, thanks for letting us know!
We can certainly take a look at adding your case to the existing ticket for this issue, but we'd need to confirm a few things first. Please provide additional details, such as:
- Are you just unable to add your PayPal Mastercard account, or are you experiencing a different issue such as transactions not downloading?
- What option are you selecting in Quicken Simplifi to add the account?
- Do you have other PayPal accounts that are able to be added in Quicken Simplifi? If so, what type of accounts are they and what option are they connected to?
Please let us know so we can best assist!

@DuraFin, thanks for posting to the Community!
I went ahead and merged your post with the ongoing thread for this issue. The ticket is awaiting a fix, however, I'm not sure if the fix will be global or not. We can certainly add you to the ticket, but need a bit more info from you first:
- What option are you selecting in Quicken Simplifi to add the account?
- Do you have other PayPal accounts that are able to be added in Quicken Simplifi? If so, what type of accounts are they and what option are they connected to?
We look forward to your reply!

Noob here to sort of pile on, but just today when I tried to connect my Paypal and Paypal Credit accounts, it didn't even see the PPC at all, and only brought in my Paypal account itself. Don't know if that adds corroboration or expands on the known-issue part at all.

Hello @DDXdesign,
To assist with this, please provide more information. Did this happen while you were adding the accounts to Quicken Simplifi for the first time, or were these accounts previously connected and downloading properly? I can see you were attempting to connect to the PayPal Credit, MasterCard and Crypto connection option. Do you get the same result when connecting to the PayPal connection option?
I look forward to your reply!

Hello - This is my first time connecting to Simplifi. I just tried the regular paypal.com connector and got the same result.

@DDXdesign, thanks for confirming!
According to our support article here:
- Checking and Savings accounts will transition to the new connection method in Quicken Simplifi and will need to use the option listed as "PayPal".
- Other accounts, such as Credit Cards, will remain on the regular connection type but need to be connected or transitioned to a specific PayPal instance in Quicken Simplifi listed as "PayPal Credit, MasterCard and Crypto".
With that, when you use the "PayPal Credit, MasterCard and Crypto" bank option in Quicken Simplifi to add your PayPal credit card account, what specifically happens, i.e. is the account not presented in the Add Account window, is the account presented in the Add Account window but you don't see it in your Accounts List, etc.? Also, have you ensured that the account is enabled for third-party access with the bank directly?
Please let us know so we can best assist!

When I go to add accounts, my Paypal account itself (the one that would count as a checking account I guess) shows up, but my Paypal Credit account does not show up in the Add Account window. Same result with both connections. The PPC account is open to 3rd party aggregators; I've had it connected elsewhere before.

@DDXdesign, thanks for the reply!
Since it's a credit card account in question, we'll want to use and focus on just the "PayPal Credit, MasterCard and Crypto" bank option moving forward. With that, we already have an escalation for missing credit card accounts with that bank option, as you can see from the above discussion I merged your post with. The status of the ticket states that a fix is awaiting implementation, but I don't know if it will be global or not. We can certainly add you to the ticket with the following information:
- Has there been any activity in the account in the last 90 days?
- Is the account considered an external account (i.e. are you redirected to a different website when selecting the account on the bank's website)? If so, what URL are you redirected to?
- Is the account a subtype of a different account?
- Has the bank made any recent changes to its website or sign-in process?
- Are you the owner of the account?
- The name of the account, as it appears on the bank's website.
- A screenshot of the Accounts Summary page from the bank's website (the page that lists all accounts and balances - feel free to redact any private info) that has a wide enough scope to show the page URL (this must be taken from a web browser and not a mobile browser).
- A screenshot of the Add Account screen in Quicken Simplifi showing that the account in question is missing at account discovery.
Otherwise, feel free to just follow along here for updates on the existing escalation and let us know if you're still unable to add the accounts after we post that the issue has been resolved.

Thanks Natalie -
- Yes
- Paypal Credit is slightly separated from Paypal, in that clicking on the PPC account sends you to https://paypalcredit.syf.com/eServicePayPal/AccountSummary/initiateAccSummaryAction.action
- I don't think it's a subtype
- No
- Yes
- Doesn't really have an account name
- screenshot attached
- screenshot attached, but if I try it from here in simplifi, it just says I've already added all my accounts (because it only sees the regular paypal money account)

@DDXdesign, thank you for providing the requested information!
For number 7, it looks like you provided a screenshot of the Credit Account's drill-down page — we need the Accounts Summary page, which is the first page you see when signing into PayPal. The page should list all of your PayPal accounts and balances (feel free to redact any private info such as the balances, account numbers, etc), and show the page URL at the top.
