With the latest enhancements to transaction search in Quicken Simplifi, please let us know what you think!
Our announcement here has more details:
this feature sounds interesting. I will check it out.
Really excited about these enhancements!
One bug I think I found:
I have a transaction for $26.50. When I search "26.5" (without the quotes) it shows that transaction in the results but if I add the zero, "26.50", then the transaction is not shown in the search results.
Similarly, I have a transaction for $82.00 which shows if I search "82" but not if I search "82.0" or "82.00"
This is definitely a great step in the right direction! I use Notes heavily and this has definitely been a gap since introducing split notes. It looks like the search is now searching both notes as indicated, but the Notes filter still does not. These really need to function the same way for consistent searchability. Related, the notes should display in the notes field regardless of split view and whether the notes are at the transaction or split level. Updates have improved this and I think the outstanding gaps here are that notes at split level don't display in the notes field when splits are not shown and that hover doesn't display the full note on split notes in split view. I believe I originally captured these items in split note feedback threads as well.
Thanks, everyone for the feedback. @Jenny T, I do see the feedback about Notes. This hasn't gotten to the top yet of our enhancements yet, as search needed work first, as does aligning the column filters and the overall filters. Thanks so much for engaging with us and helping our team focus on what matters to you.
@EL1234, I'll file this bug. Glad the improvements are useful for you.
Thanks! I'm excited to hear about aligning the column filters with the overall filters. I hope you can include the new date filters in that as well (I refer to the new Date button next to the existing filter button.)
Thank you
Hello community, We have added a bug fix for trailing zeros (thanks for reporting this, ie 36.50 works now) and support for 'not' in the search syntax (ie amount!=10) with the latest web release. Thanks for using search and providing feedback.
Enhanced Transaction Search is now live for all users on the web app!
I have it a quick check and like this new feature.
Just got a chance to use this feature and it seems like it should save a lot of time as opposed to clicking through the menus :)
