Same here. I’m coming up on my renewal period for Simplifi and I saw that the annual price was raised since last year. Timely addition of features like this may go into my decision making on whether to renew…

  • Still not implemented? I would love something specific to my next credit card bills but I could even make do with something as simple as a notification rule that will alert me if my total credit card balance is greater than a specific bank account. I mean, I get that is somewhat easy to spot from the overview but it would be nice to have an alert for that. But as far as I can tell, there isn’t anything like that.

  • Is Simplifi still figuring out how to make it work?

It's now 7 months after committing to resolve this issue (not from when the issue was raised). Can we get some transparency as to the status of this?

    Hello All,

We don't have an ETA for when this will be implemented. Please follow this thread, since any updates, once available, will be posted here!

    Thank you!

  • I dont understand why this feature should take so long to implement. Assuming Simplifi already has the transactions downloaded from the credit card and assuming the payment to be made reflects the balance due at the end of the billing cycle, then all I should need to do is define one-time the month day of the end of the billing cycle. Then Simplifi grabs that balance and updates that month's re-occurring amount and I have my spending forecast for the month. This literally can't be more than a paragraph of code to implement.

It would really be excellent to have this feature! It is just sad to see it is not being prioritized.

People who transitioned from Mint, including myself, are eager for this feature. We have been hoping it comes live for about a year. I still need to update the reminder payment values for credit cards by going to each credit card website. This ensures the projected cash flow is accurate.

  • I also very much miss this feature which was one of the primary reasons I used Mint before its sad demise. I was nice to know when my automatic payment would be taken out of my bank account. Without this feature I will not be renewing my recently renewed subscription.

Waiting for this too. It used to be the most useful feature for me on mint

Just got my notification of the 40% increase in annual subscription price for simplifi. The justification stated is all the "major product updates and features added to Simplifi" LIKE WHAT? There is not a single new feature I care about introduced in the 2 years since I came to Simplifi when Mint went away. I am a heavy user with 30+ accounts and use it daily to reconcile spending and monthly/annually to budget and yet there is nothing that has been introduced that really useful. I have seen the new tax stuff recently….meh…as categorization already really does this work for me.

The feature on this thread is an example that has been promised and a lot of people care about yet still no ETA.

Hopefully an update can be provided soon and that this feature can be implemented.

Where is the feature? Like @pwhelan81 said, I haven’t noticed any notable new features added since I joined after Mint closed. Is it time to move to a new product? Anyone watching this thread have good recommendations? There really aren’t any unique or compelling features in Simplifi now that the price has gone up to keep me using it.

No notable new features? Just in time for tax season we got the tax report which made my life easier.

The new tax "feature" you speak of seems to be very poorly implemented. When i go to the tax report it quickly comes up with info for this year….however if I change the filter to "last year" (which is pretty much the only time filter that is really useful for a year of taxes), the report just spins and spins and spins….for hours. It never comes back. What a great feature!

Here is what I believe about Simplifi. They have VERY LIMITED technical developer/support and they spend all their time working on connectivity and performance issues and never have ANY time for enhancements. That is the only explanation for the lack of new features. I mean a summer intern could knock out a lot of features people REALLY want . e.g. date filter on transaction display and 20 other small obvious features that are needed.

I still wait for this feature to be implemented and, let's be very fair, it cannot be so hard to get the statement balance for the credit cards and update the reminders and the flow.

@nakada It's possible it's more complicated than you might think, if it's possible that 2,000 different banks all have the information in different places where it wasn't before being retrieved from. Some banks may not even offer that information to the app.

@RobWilk That’s certainly possible, and would be challenging to integrate. But what shouldn’t be all that difficult is to use the information already in Simplifi to estimate the next cycle’s payment amount. If every credit card account had an option to set whether the statement balance gets paid in full each month, and if so to set the monthly statement closing date, then Simplifi could set the amount of the following payment based on the account balance on that date. Maybe not 100% accurate, but should get pretty close.

I am sorry Rob, but I believe all banks provide the statement balance information when we have their accounts connected to any app. It may be different for each bank, probably, but the information is there. It is just a matter of starting to do it. Choose some banks with more users in Simplifi and go on with the implementation. It will really be possible to do it, for all banks, all at once, but it is an important part of planning your payments and how much you have left for next month in the cash flow.
