Security/Payee empty for Investment Transactions in TDA/Schwab account (edited)

Yes, deleting the linking makes sense. Linking the TDA accts to the Schwab ones. Hope that does not bring up the TDA TRAN entries.
BUT, unfortunately, There is no Broker link to add the account flow too as of this weekend. Do I RESET THE CONNECTION or DELETE THE INSTITUTION? See the pop-up box, bottom right side of the screen shot.
There is no Broker to connect to anymore.
The TDA accounts have all been manual since I was instructed to do that by the online support folks.
Thanks !!

Perfect sense, but I still do not have an answer to my original question. Delete or Reset ?????

Well, I went to the Dashboard and selected ADD. Then I selected Schwab from the choices that popped up. The following screen shots are what I presented with.
This was it. The checked Account is nowhere. I have to Reset the Connection or DELETE THE ACCOUNT. Those are my choice to proceed. Which should I do? Schwab no longer exists. The marked Schwab accounts were all deleted. Which item should I select?
As you can see from the screen shot, there are no TDA "make read" accounts in the window presented to me. Only deleted accounts.

Hello @neon45,
It looks like you are selecting the three dot menu for the empty Charles Schwab financial institution. That can be deleted just like the TDA institutions we had you delete before.
As for the Schwab accounts, after you review them, you should get a window allowing you to link them in Quicken Simplifi.
Thanks,
Coach Jon

Hi @neon45
I just skimmed through this thread and I'm sorry your having so much difficulty with this. I had custodial accounts for our grandkids at TD Ameritrade over the years (I started out with Scottrade which was devoured by TDA which has now been devoured by Charles Schwab 😕.
Anyway, were your accounts just recently migrated to Schwab? My TDA accounts were migrated to Schwab over Memorial Day weekend last year.
Don't know if this will help, but here is the post I wrote post migration (You will notice in step 2, I reference an active Charles Schwab connection. This is because I hit the threshold balance to turn over management of the accounts to TDA and it turned out that at the time they had already started shifting portfolios to Schwab and so TDA/Schwab closed the TDA account and transferred the account to Schwab.):
I don't mention the step of making my former TDA accounts manual. My memory is fuzzy, but I think when TDA shut down on Friday prior to Memorial Day the link between QS and TDA was deleted, and the accounts became manual by default(?).
I certainly am not at the level of expertise as the Simplifi coaches, but one suggestion to get to the cleanest reconnection with Schwab might be to delete the connection from Schwab's side first and then start over on the QS side.
If it's something you want to try, log into Charles Schwab, click on Profile > Security Setting > Third-Party Access > click on Quicken then click on "Stop Liking to All Accounts." The screen will refresh and the Quicken connection should be deleted. I don't know if this will help, but I have found this helpful in a couple of instances when I had connection problems with other banks/institutions.

Finally, 10 days later, the accounts seem to be linked correctly… omg
Thanks for the input Danny. That would have been helpful. As it was I stumbled on Profile > Security Setting > Third-Party Access on a semi-desperate call to SHB trying to figure out why I was getting a can't connect window. That helped a lot. I actually had to click on all of my accounts because only 1 was checked.
I was having connection problems like crazy. Not at all sure if it had any bearing or what, but I paused my VPN and, checked Profile > Security Setting > Third-Party Access I started having better luck. Not at all sure it had a darned thing to do with it though.
Cross referencing these accounts was awful. I had 8 of them.
Also, if you have "make manual" accounts with and error message in them, and or, your named accounts in the Dashboard have zero balances make sure you have unchecked "include in Spending Plan". Apparently Investments should be excluded from Reports & Spending Plan. So many little mines waiting to explode that are not mentioned in the slick "how-to" video clips.
Certainly glad the records came thru. Schwab has no history to speak of for my accounts. Going to be a nightmare for a while.
Thanks Jon & Danny

It's good to hear you finally have a good connection for all your accounts.

Another thing that seems to have changed are the column headers with the change over.
Next project will be updating Description / Categories and renaming them. Need to figure out how to do mass updating to delete the TDA TRAN part of entries like this » TDA TRAN - ORDINARY DIVIDEND (stock)" Hopefully, I can use Transaction Detail window to do that.

Hello @neon45,
I am glad that you were able to get connected! As for managing your categories, here is a great article explaining how to do everything with categories in Quicken Simplifi.
Additionally, you can set Transaction Rules to make sure your transactions come in the way you want them to:
