Paypal Mastercard now requiring Two Factor Authentication every time I log into Simplifi
PayPal Mastercard was working fine for several months, but in the last couple of days it has started to require Two Factor Authentication to connect, every time I log into Simplifi. In my case it requires a text message with a PIN to successfully connect. I tried to reset the account connection but that did not help. Anyone else?

@RockLee, thanks for posting regarding this behavior!
Unfortunately, we don't have any control over the various MFA requests that are required by your bank(s), as these are required by the banks directly. More details on this can be found here:
It's possible that other users may still come along with feedback for you for PayPal specifically. In the meantime, you might consider checking out these existing requests:
Sorry for not having better news, but I hope this helps!

Also suffering this same issue with Paypal account (mastercard). It did not use to require any 2FA and now requires it every time I log in to Simplifi, and will often require it multiple times per day if I log in that many times. I have reviewed this issue with paypal who can only confirm that my 2FA is seemingly disabled on their end. It has never been enabled.

@acoll054, thanks for posting on this topic!
As previously mentioned, the bank is who controls the MFA requests. We wouldn't be able to prompt you for MFA, send you a code, or anything along those lines from our end — that all comes from the bank and is integrated into our connection flow. With that, I'd suggest double-checking with PayPal on this. I'm wondering if PayPal made changes on their end that require MFA, even if not enabled in your account. Have you asked them about their MFA requirements?
Let us know!
