    In the interest of brevity…

I have several credit cards and do not use all of them every month, therefore, setting up "AutoPay" is not optimal. When I do go in and schedule a payment on one, it would be great to be able to mark something in the "Transfers and Credit Card Payments" (or in the other categories as well) as "Scheduled" so I know that it's taken care of.

Please add a "Scheduled" checkbox for items in the Spending Plan.

  • Yeah, I'm investigating just using my bank's online banking. I already have to go to it to pay my bills and they let me add "external" accounts. So wondering why I need another system that doesn't allow me to schedule and pay my bills?

I also have a few cards with varying usage and I keep them all on autopay anyways, so that I don't have to keep track and make sure the payments aren't missed.

I still would want the "Scheduled/Paid" option for other bills though.

There is not a feature to mark a recurring bill as paid. If you have scheduled a payment for a reminder, the reminder will not be removed from the list until the transaction clears and links to the reminder. I would like the ability to change the color of the reminder to signify that I have paid the reminder. Another option would be to add an additional status called "Scheduled". Right now there is only "Next" and "All Past Due".

How can be in 2025 and Quicken has yet to add a feature to simply mark a bill as paid before a transaction clears at the bank. The inability to mark a bill as paid makes the bill tracking feature useless. Most folks pay ahead of time.

@Coach Natalie is there any update on this request??? Thank you!

  • Greetings all, I hope this finds you all well!

I have been using Quicken Deluxe since it’s inception, which tells you right away that I am old, and set in my ways. 😉 I believe I could make Simplifi work for me, with one crucial update.

The current application is great for tracking recurring items, and cleary shows the user items that have been paid, or which still pending.

However, I’m looking for a way to flag an account to show that I’ve actually, physically gone the website, and scheduled the electronic payment to be made. (I don’t keep everything set up for automatic payments) This feature works very well in Quicken Deluxe, and it’s right there on the Home Screen. I can see very clearly what I’ve scheduled to be paid, and what is not.

This became an issue for me just recently when I had to pay a late fee, which the company waved after I called them back… But anyway, I haven’t made a payment late in 30 years… Until transitioning to Simplifi.

Easy for me to say, but this seems like it would be a minor update, but I think it would go a long way to assist every user.

    Thank you so much!

There is an existing idea you can add your vote to (I'll note that this should be merged to the people who can do that): [removed link to merged thread]

@RobWilk, I totally agree and have been a Quicken user for the same period of time as you. While waiting for this to appear in Simplifi, I have devised a "work around" using the flags. When I schedule a paymewnt for the next month or have recuring payments, I have selected the flag of Orange. I do have to set it manually, but that is better than nothing. The only missing piece is a list of the specific accounts with the orange flag for future payments. That is also a missing piece as well.

I usually sit down on a Sunday evening and schedule payment of bills online. I can be inconsistent as to how far out in the future I am scheduling payments. Therefore, I need a way of seeing which bills (Reminders) have already been scheduled and which might still neet my attention. I believe the use of a flag would be adequate but have observed that flags only apply to Transactions that have made it into the Register. There are currently no flags that apply to a Reminder. Please add this feature in the near future so I don't start getting late fees as well! Thank you.

I wish we could click the reminder to turn it into a pending transaction. That would work too and kill two birds with one stone as this request also has a lot of votes.

Please vote for this as well.

This thread originally started in January 2020. We are approaching the six-year mark, and it is baffling that something so simple has not been added or even put on the roadmap.

I personally chimed in back in Jan 2024, yet I continue to pay for two separate platforms just to accommodate this one easy task. This is low-hanging fruit that would solve a problem the community has been voicing for over half a decade.

My renewal is up in a month. I would love to hear something concrete from the Simplifi team before I decide if I’m going to wait another year.

Just my two cents but I think this will happen after a while. They are working on other improvements to recurring transactions. But we'll keep pushing for it @idlehand !

I’m on the same page with @idlehand, I have seven different that I’ve been waiting on for at this point several years. All of them just say active or in review. For years. And now with all the I’m seeing from the software, I’ve finally canceled. Maybe I’ll revisit this in a year or two and see if anything‘s been cleaned up. Good luck, everyone.
